H2K Racing is the home of Kacen and Kyler Hendrickson. The Hendrickson kids are go-kart racers from Franklin, IN

Day 2 of the doubleheader is complete! ☀️🏁

The sun was blazing, the track was hot and sticky, and the racing was just as intense.

🏁 Racin Kacen “Deuce” put on an incredible battle at the front all race long, bringing home a hard-earned P3 finish.

🏁 Kyler “Kaptin Koolaid” continued to show impressive speed and confidence, working his way up to P12 before an unfortunate rear tire issue caused a deflation, dropping him back to P18.

Sometimes racing gives you trophies, and sometimes it gives you lessons. Today, these boys showed determination, grit, and never gave up.

🏁 Race Recap 🏁

A huge thank you to this week’s tire sponsors Todd Hendrickson, Mandy Stowers, and Paddack’s Wrecker & Heavy Transport! Both boys rolled onto the track with fresh rubber and it definitely showed throughout the day.

#95 Kyler qualified 5th, finished 5th in the heat race, and brought it home 5th in the feature. While the results may not tell the whole story, he was right there on pace with the front runners all day and continued to get faster every session. His consistency, determination, and growing speed were exciting to watch.

#2 Kacen came out strong, qualifying on pole and capturing the heat race win. When it came time for the feature, he stayed patient and smart, helping build a gap to the rest of the field before making an incredible last-lap pass into Turn 1 to take the win! 🏆 What a drive and what a finish!

We’re so grateful for our tire sponsors, family, friends, and everyone who continues to support these boys and their racing journey. The long nights, hard work, and countless laps all make moments like these worth it.

After last weekends final led to chords showing, we’re searching for tire sponsors to get these boys back on track safely this weekend! Can’t do a whole set, but would like to help out? Message out to find out how!

Saturday night both boys raced at @k1circuit.whiteland. #KaptinKoolaid was first up in his 206 Cadet and 2 was his lucky number. He placed 2nd in all events, gaining speed every time on track! For @racin_kacen2 in his @tapracingengines mini swift it was mixed emotions. The night looked promising landing the top spot in practice, qualifying, and the heat. However, in the final after getting the early lead the sprinkles came. That led to him dropping off and eventually crossing the line 2nd. When he pulled in it the obvious that his tires were showing the cords. So now we regroup, get some new tires, and try again this weekend! Special thanks to The Cleaning People for sponsoring this weekends entries!

Did you know that of the average 3.6 million babies born in the US every 1-6 per 10,000 are born with congenital cataracts?!? And of those cases approximately 1/3rd of them are bilateral (both eyes). Children born with bilateral congenital cataracts often face additional ocular complications, especially if the cataracts are dense, untreated early, or associated with syndromes. One of the most common secondary issues is amblyopia (lazy eye), along with other visual development problems.

Competing against some of the best 4-cycle racers in the nation in their respective classes, they are ready to put their skills to the test! Crazy rollercoaster of a weekend. Rv issues plagued the drive to NCMP so we ended up at WRP for SIRA. With practice complete we rolled up just in time for qualifying. Bothe boys competed in 206 Sportsman to complete the 6 kart field. Kacen and Liet put on a heck of a show in the heat races yesterday but today he pulled away in the prefinal and final. Kyler gained valuable seat time, maintained consistency, and continued to knock time off his personal best each time he took to the track. His number of the weekend was 4. Fourth in both heats, the prefinal and final!

Change of plans for the weekend! We were on the road heading to NCMP to practice before the race tomorrow, and before getting on the interstate the slide on the rv had a malfunction. This forced us to turn around and head towards home. BUT @k1circuitwhiteland is on the way home so we made a pit stop and will spend the weekend at the @sirakarting event!
