About Us

The Team

Welcome to H2K Racing, a family-owned go kart racing team founded in 2018 that is all about spreading the joy of racing. Our team comprises three talented racers – Kacen, Kyler, and Stella – who have a passion for racing that runs deep.

Racing has been in our family since Great-Grandpa, Tom Trusty, owned various midget and sprint cars before his passing in 2004. In October of 2018 the eldest Hendrickson child, Kacen, tried a go-kart for the first time when Andy O'Gara and Sarah Fisher bought Whiteland Raceway Park. As soon as his foot hit the pedal he was hooked. That year for Christmas Gramps bought him his first kart, and the team was formed.

Our first few season was all about learning the ropes of the karting world by attending local club races at Whiteland Raceway Park and New Castle Motorsports Park. In the end of 2020 we joined A-Maxx Racing and began expanding our adventures to regional and national level races.

The Drivers

Kacen Hendrickson

Kacen is a nine year-old racer from Franklin, Indiana. His nickname on the track is Racin' Kacen the Flying Deuce. Kacen's dream is to become an Indy Car Champion.

Kacen began racing his kart at the ripe age of 4! He had his first win at Whiteland Raceway park in his first season, and has continued to win races, stand on the podium, and even collect a few championships as his career has progressed.

Kacen's major accomplishments include:

* 2019 Whiteland Raceway Park Kid Kart Novice Champion

* 2019 Whiteland Raceway Park Hartman Oil Cup Kid Kart Novice Championship winner

* 2020 New Castle Motorsports Park Kid Kart Champion

*2022 Whiteland Raceway Park Micro Swift Champion

*2023 New Castle Motorsports Park Micro Swift Champion

Off the track, Kacen is a 4th grade student at Southwest Elementary in Greenwood. Kacen was born with cataracts in both eyes. At the age of 3 he had them removed. At the age of 4 he has surgery to correct his Strabismus (Lazy Eye). He still struggles with Amblyopia (blurred view) and has to patch his eye, along with wearing bifocal glasses. Kacen will not let his eye issues stop him! He works out his eyes, body, and mind at Elite Performance to stay in top shape.

Kyler Hendrickson

Kyler is a six year old racer from Franklin, Indiana. His nickname on the track is Kaptin Koolaid. Kyler's dream is to compete in the Indy 500 alongside his big brother.

Kyler started testing his kart at just 3 years old. His first time in the kart was a memorable one and landed him on national TV. While pulling out of the pits he drove towards his dad knocking him over. Mom sent the footage in, and Kyler was featured on the "Put It Out" segment before a NASCAR race broadcast.

He has came along way since that day. He has won races, stood on the podium, and even collected a few championships in his short career thus far.

Kyler's major accomplishments include:

* 2023 New Castle Motorsports Park Kid Kart Champion

* 2023 World Karting Association Gold Cup Kid Kart Champion

* 2023 Route 66 Sprint Series Hoosier State Challenge Kid Kart Champion

* 2023 Route 66 Sprint Series Kid Kart Overall Champion

Off the track, Kyler is a 1st grade student at Southwest Elementary in Greenwood. He strives to maintain good grades even with racing consuming most of his free time. When he is not at the track, he too utilizes all of the knowledge and tools that Elite Performance has to offer.

Stella Hendrickson

Stella is a five year old racer from Franklin, Indiana.  Her nickname on the track is Sassafras Express. While she likes racing, eventually her dreams are to become the official veterinarian for Indy Car.

2023 was her first season competing, but she has spent her entire life at the track watching, learning, and waiting for the chance to prove girls race too.

She came a long way in her debut season! While she did suffer from a few hard hits on the track, she didn't let them stop her! She got right back out there to finish the race. She managed to snag several podium finishes.

Don't let her size fool you. She may be tiny, but she is mighty and fierce!
